Triple murder trial of Kansas man to be moved

WARSAW, MO (AP) - A Garnett, Kan., man charged with killing three people will have his trial moved from Benton County to Clay County, Mo.

The Sedalia Democrat reports that Benton County court documents also show a new judge will be assigned to the first-degree murder trial of 45-year-old Robert B. Blurton.

Blurton is charged with three counts of first-degree murder in the June 9 deaths of Donald, Sharon and Taron Luetjen at their Cole Camp home.

Blurton's lawyer, public defender Charles Moreland, says he sought the change of venue because the case received wide publicity around Benton County.

Blurton pleaded not guilty in July and is being jailed on $3 million bond. No trial date has been set.
