BLYTHEVILLE, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 man accused of murdering a pregnant woman in 2009 is now out of jail on bond.

According to the Mississippi County Circuit Court Office, Circuit Judge Victor Hill of West Memphis issued a ruling allowing Justin Mangum the ability to post bail after the judge said his confession was coerced by investigators.

Mangum is charged with two counts of first degree murder after police say he confessed to fatally shooting Sonya Stokes in January of 2009. Stokes was 8-months pregnant at the time.

Mangum was being held in the Mississippi County Detention Center on a $2,000,000 bond.

Mangum is next scheduled to appear in court on July 12.
