KANSAS CITY, MO (AP) - A Kansas City man has pleaded guilty in federal court to commercial sex trafficking of several women.
The U.S. Attorney's office says 37-year-old Michael Buck admitted forcing women into prostitution by threatening serious harm, physical restraint and force.
Prosecutors say Buck used a phone service to advertise the women's availability for sexual acts in Kansas City and Independence. Customers were from Missouri and Kansas.
Officials say the sex acts took place in apartments, houses, motels and strip clubs.
Buck entered the plea Wednesday in U.S. District Court in Kansas City. A sentencing date will be set later.
