Overnight lane closures planned for 2 weeks on I-40

NORTH LITTLE ROCK, AR (AP) - The state Highway and Transportation Department says night-time drivers on Interstate 40 in North Little Rock need to be alert this week and next for lane closures.

The agency said in a news release that only one lane would be affected at a time, and only from I-40's intersection with U.S. 67-167 to the interchange where I-30 begins and heads south.

The release said workers would be repairing pavement patches and restriping lanes during the hours from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night.

The work is to begin this Monday night in eastbound lanes, and will shift to westbound lanes next week.
