Houston, TX (KAIT) - Two former Razorbacks are now members of the Houston Texans. Defensive tackle Malcolm Sheppard and wide receiver London Crawford both went undrafted but were picked up by the Texans for rookie camp. Both impressed the coaching staff and were signed with the team.
Sheppard suffered a slight tear in his shoulder in the Liberty Bowl, affecting his NFL Draft status. He ranked tied for 94th in the nation in tackles for loss (.92) and tied for 10th in the SEC in tackles for loss. He's Arkansas' leader in tackles for loss (11.0-39) and tied for third in sacks (2.5-19), having multi-tackle games in nine of 12 contests in 2009. Sheppard currently ranks tied for third on Arkansas' career tackles for loss list with 37.0 for 130 yards.had 11 tackles for a loss in the 2009 season and was selected to the All-SEC 2nd team.
Crawford had 54 catches for 759 yards and 4 touchdowns in his Razorback career.
