Missouri man pleads guilty in 3 homicides

LEBANON, MO (AP) - A southwest Missouri man has pleaded guilty in the killings of 3 people last fall.

KYTV reports that Joshua Reyes of Springfield was sentenced to three life sentences without parole after pleading guilty Wednesday to three counts of first-degree murder in Laclede County Circuit Court.

Three other men are awaiting trial in the shootings that killed a woman's boyfriend and her parents in October 2009.

Investigators say 25-year-old Zachary Porter was shot at an apartment in Lebanon. Later, 51-year-old Jeffrey L. Smith and his wife, 48-year-old Glenda Smith, were shot in their Phillipsburg home.

Laclede County prosecutor Angie Hemphill Wright agreed to drop charges of armed criminal action and burglary against Reyes in exchange for his guilty pleas.
