Twin Rivers cancels classes due to high water

WILLIFORD, AR (KAIT) - The Twin Rivers School District canceled classes Thursday due to high water on secondary roads.

The school planned on having the students bused back home by 9:00am.  All school activities for Thursday night have also been canceled.

Overnight rain caused some creeks to flow over the low water bridges in the district and there was a safety concern with more heavy rain expected through the day.

The National Weather Service has the area under a Flash Flood Watch for much of the day.
