WEST MEMPHIS, AR (KAIT)--The Police Benevolent Foundation, Inc. (PBF) and the Arkansas Divsion of the Southern States PBA (ARPBA) are pairing up to honor the two officers who were shot and killed in Thursday's West Memphis shooting with a memorial fund.
The fund will be set up at the West Memphis area bank so the public can help assist the familes of both fallen officers. Once the account is set up, donations can be made directly to the account. The PBF and ARPBA ask with heavy hearts that both local and national communities reach out to help these families in their serious time of need by to the fund.
The PBF is a tax-deductible 501(c)(3) organization established by the Southern States Police Benevolent Association, Inc. (SSPBA) in 2005. SSPBA has been serving its membership for 20 years, and is not a union. It is an independent association with no national or international affiliations.
The Foundation has a Board of Director selected by the membership of the SSPBA. Foundation expenses are currently absorbed by Southern States PBA, making the Foundation one of very few such entities that gives 100% of the funds received to its intended purpose.
Their website is available to find out when and where the memorial account will be set up.
