Three Region 8 coaches selected to East-West All Star Baseball and Softball Staffs

North Little Rock (AAA) - The Arkansas Activities Association announced the head coaches and coaching staffs for the 2010 East-West Tyson/Arkansas Army National Guard/Arkansas High School Coaches Association All-Star Baseball and Softball games on June 22-23, 2010.

This marks the 55th anniversary of All-Star competition and the 7th for baseball and softball.

The All-Star baseball doubleheader will be played at Baum Stadium on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville on Tuesday, June 22, starting at 5:00 p.m. The All-Star softball doubleheader will be played at Bogle Park on the University of Arkansas campus in Fayetteville on Wednesday, June 23, starting at 5:00 p.m.

The head coach for the East baseball team will be Ronnie Blevins of Mountain Home and the head coach for the West baseball team is Randy Gardner of Greenwood.

The head coach for the East softball team will be Jonathon Crymes of West Memphis and the head coach for the West softball team is Brian Butler of Greenbrier.

Blevin's East baseball staff will consist of Matt Long of Russellville, Derek Bramlett of Walnut Ridge and Jim Beasley of Monticello. Gardner's West baseball staff will consist of Kyle Slayton of Nashville, Keith Kilgore of Rogers Heritage and Brad Harris of Lincoln.

Crymes' East softball staff will consist of Cary Cossey of Buffalo Island Central, Debbie Stepp of Bryant and Brian Haynes of Trumann. Butler's West softball staff will consist of Paula Wheeler of Elkins, Brian Brown of Nashville and Kent Early of Bentonville.

The 2010 Arkansas High School Coaches Association Coaches Clinic will be held at the Cosmopolitan Hotel in Fayetteville, June 23-25.
