CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – The 19-year-old's name in the Caruthersville attempted poisoning case has been released.
Police say Lorenzo Morgan, 19, of Caruthersville is the man accused of putting bleach in his girlfriend's lemonade and ice trays.
Morgan was arrested for first degree assault and two counts of endangerment of the welfare of the child on the first degree. He is currently being held in Pemiscot County Jail with no bond.
Police are also now saying the female victim and her two children did become sick by ingesting the drink containing bleach.

CARUTHERSVILLE, MO (KAIT) – According to the Caruthersville Police Department, a 19-year-old suspect tried to poison a woman and her two children with bleach.
Officers responded to a call on 15 Adams Street at 9:15 on Tuesday morning. Upon arrival, Cedric Wilbourn said someone had tried to poison his two children and their mother in her home by putting bleach in the ice trays and lemonade in the refrigerator.
The Caruthersville police department subsequently arrested a 19-year-old, black male for first degree assault and first degree endangerment of the welfare of a child.
The suspect is currently being held in the Pemiscot County Jail. His name has not been released pending the filing of formal charges.
The woman and two children were not harmed.
