One vehicle accident knocks out power lines in Region 8

LAKE CITY, AR (KAIT) – The one vehicle accident between Lake City and Black Oak has traffic backed up by approximately half a mile.

The 29-year-old, Locust Grove woman involved in the accident only sustained minor injuries and has been transported to a hospital for examination after her vehicle rolled twice and landed in a ditch.

Neither the woman's name nor the hospital she was taken to has been released.

LAKE CITY, AR (KAIT) – Traffic is backed up on Hwy 18 near Lake City as crews make their way to the scene of an accident.

According to the Jonesboro Dispatch Office, a one-vehicle, rollover accident has knocked down power lines along Hwy 18 between the bridge and a fruit stand. The vehicle has landed upside down in a ditch.

Arkansas State Police, EMS, and Entergy crews are on their way to the scene. Travelers are asked to stay away from the site if possible.

There no reports of injury at this time.
