Region 8 man busted with pot plants and more

IZARD COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – A Region 8 man was arrested after police found marijuana plants growing at his home.

According to the Izard County Sheriff's Department, James Farris was arrested after police received information that Farris was growing pot plants at his home on West Road near Mt. Pleasant.

When Farris arrived home, police placed him under arrest. Inside police found processed marijuana, rolling papers, and a small quantity of pills.

Farris is charged with manufacture of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a controlled substance.

Farris was released from the Izard County Detention facility after posting $20,000 bond.
