ASU releases 2010 soccer schedule

Jonesboro (ASU) – The Arkansas State soccer team announced its 2010 soccer slate, Wednesday which includes 10 home contests. This will mark the 11th season of Red Wolves soccer and the first for head coach Tafadzwa Ziyenge.

ASU will open the 2010 season at home Aug. 22 hosting Tennessee-Martin at 2 p.m. at the ASU Soccer Complex.

The Red Wolves will then travel to UAPB and Louisiana Tech on Aug 27 & 29 before returning home on Sept 3 to host Lipscomb at 5 p.m. ASU then heads to Belmont on Sunday Sept. 5 for a matchup at 2 p.m.

A-State then hosts its longest nonconference homestand of the season hosting Tulsa Sept. 10, Oral Roberts on Sept. 17 and SEMO on Sept. 19 at the ASU Soccer Complex.

A trip to Florida for matches against Florida Atlantic and Florida International mark the beginning of Sun Belt Conference play the weekend of Sept. 24 & 26

ASU returns home for its first weekend of SBC play at the ASU Soccer Complex Oct 1 & 3 hosting MTSU and Western Kentucky before returning to the road Oct. 8 & 10 for games at Louisiana-Lafayette and Louisiana-Monroe.

ASU then gets three in a row at the ASU Soccer Complex hosting South Alabama, Troy and Denver Oct 15, 17 & 21 in league play before finishing up regular season action on the road Oct. 24 at North Texas and Oct. 29 at UALR.

The 2010 Sun Belt Conference Tournament will be held Nov. 3-6 at Western Kentucky.
