Region 8 teen charged with murder after car accident

Sikeston, MO (KAIT) -  According to Sikeston Police, A 17-year old woman is charged with murder after apparently striking another woman with a vehicle.  Police say Brianna Branson hit an 18-year old early Saturday morning.

Police say the victim, whose name isn't being released, was found dead in the middle of the 900 block of Westview street. They believe Branson previously got into an altercation with the victim before the incident occurred.

Branson is also charged with leaving the scene of an accident, tampering with evidence and being a minor in possession of alcohol. The judge set her bond at $150, 000, cash only.
