JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – The Jonesboro Police Department's PROWL Unit arrest a go-cart riding man on Wednesday afternoon for possession of methamphetamine after they see him driving the vehicle on a city street.

Miguel Santiago, 39, of Jonesboro caught the attention of PROWL Officers Cassie Brandon and Trey Dupuy by driving a go-cart on Kitchen near Richmond Street.  As officers did a routine check for warrants, they saw Santiago drop a film canister on the ground.

Officers confiscated the canister and found a plastic bag containing a crystal-like white substance believed to be crystal methamphetamine. Santiago was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance and is currently being held in the Craighead County Jail.

A Probable Cause and Bond Hearing is expected to be held in Craighead County District Court Friday at 2:00 p.m.
