Lawrence Co parole violator arrested in TN

LAWRENCE COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – The Lawrence County Sheriff's Department has one man in custody on charges of parole absconding and theft by deception.

According to Captain Jody Dotson, Levi Lamb had absconded parole in 2008 and was questioned by Lawrence County Sheriff's Deputies after two women—one from Black Rock and one from Smithville—filed complaints about him taking money to re-roof their homes and never doing the work.

When Lamb fled Lawrence County, authorities issued warrants for both violations. Several leads came in about Lamb being out of state, but he couldn't be found.

Lamb was recently arrested in Jackson, TN for public intoxication and was taken to the jail there where a background check showed his warrants in AR. Lamb was brought to the Lawrence County Jail where both warrants were served.

A bond hearing was held July 28 and bond was set at $25,000. A Circuit Court date of Aug. 25 was given.
