Williams Baptist Basketball Eagles sign Logan Chappell

WALNUT RIDGE, Ark. (WBC) - The men's basketball squad at Williams Baptist College has signed shooting guard Logan Chappell of Guys, Tenn. Chappell is transferring to Williams after playing for two years at Dyersburg State Community College.

Chappell, 6'3", is a 2008 graduate of McNairy Central High School, where he was named Most Valuable Player his senior year, as well as earning all-district tournament honors. He was leading scorer at DSCC his freshman year and second leading scorer this year, averaging 13 points per game this season.

He is the son of Ronnie Chappell and the late Mary Chappell of Guys. Taking part in his signing at WBC were his father, his brother, Marquez Chappell, and Eagles head coach Jeff Rider.

Williams is a four-year, liberal arts college at Walnut Ridge. The Eagles compete in the American Midwest Conference of the NAIA.
