Traffic stop lands Region 8 woman in jail on drug charges

RAVENDEN, AR (KAIT) – A routine traffic stop in Region 8 leads to a woman in jail after police find drug paraphernalia.

The stop happened Monday on U.S. Highway 63 in Ravenden.

According to the Ravenden Police Department, Billie Elaine Brady gave police permission to search her car during a traffic stop, when police found drug paraphernalia, syringes, spoons containing a residue, and controlled substances.

Brady is being charged with possession of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, expired vehicle license, fake vehicle license, no insurance, and no seatbelt.

The Third Judicial Drug Task Force assisted in the arrest.
