JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Two Region 8 men are behind bars and charged with child pornography after police they say wanted to meet underage girls for sex.

According to the Jonesboro Police Department, 22-year-old Gregorio Hernandez was arrested after he tried to meet what he thought was a 14-year-old girl for sex. It turns out Hernandez was actually sending inappropriate texts to an undercover police officer.

Police say a Jonesboro Police Officer accidently sent a text message to a wrong number. Hernandez replied to the text, and continued to message the officer and asked for her age. In an attempt to get Hernandez to stop texting, the officer said she was 14-year-old. When the texting didn't stop, the officer reported the incident to the JPD High Tech Crimes Unit for assistance.

Hernandez continued to text over the next several days, and then asked her if she wanted to meet for sex. Police offered a time and location and placed Hernandez under arrest. He's charged with Computer Child Pornography.

In a separate incident, police also arrested 30-year0old Lawrence Glasco after two parents complained that their daughters had been receiving inappropriate text messages from a person they believed to be an adult.

Investigators then started a 7-month undercover operation that led to a meeting in which Glasco believed he was meeting a 14-year-old girl for sex. When he arrived at the location, police arrested Glasco and charged him with Computer Child Pornography.
