JONESBORO, Ark. -- The Warmack company, which owns and manages Jonesboro's Indian Mall, says their plans to build a new mall in Southwest Jonesboro won't happen as soon as they originally planned. Jonesboro City planner Glenn Batten told K8 news he and other city officials are aware that the proposed "Southern Hills" mall site is not on schedule.
"That's what we hear, that it's going to be delayed somewhat, and that's about all we've heard," said Batten.
Today a representative from the Warmack company in Texarkana said the delay is due to the anchor stores that haven't officially signed on to join their proposed mall project.
