COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Missouri is counting on a nimble Blaine Gabbert leading the climb back into Big 12 prominence.
The quarterback says he's eager to get started after last year's 8-5 season ended with a Texas Bowl loss to Navy.
The Tigers graduated only five seniors and are expected to finish behind Nebraska in the Big 12 North. Gabbert says the team is hoping to do better than that.
Missouri starts the season on Sept. 4 opener against Illinois in St. Louis. Its next four games are at home, ending with the Big 12 opener against Colorado.
