Murray Watts hits walkoff homer in Chukars win Thursday

Idaho Falls, ID (KAIT) - Murray Watts' rookie season in the minors got even better Thursday night. He had a sac fly in the 1st inning to give Idaho Falls an early 2-0 lead, but the Casper Ghosts rallied to take a 5-4 lead to the 8th. The Chukars tied it up in the bottom half, then Watts made his 9th home run of the season a memorable one.

The former ASU slugger crushed a Nelson Gonzalez pitch 500 plus feet for his first walk-off homer as a pro. The 2-run shot capped off a 3 RBI night.

Watts is now tied for the Pioneer League lead with 40 RBI this season. He is hitting .303 this season. The Chukars start a three game series with the Ogden Raptors Friday night.
