JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - A Region 8 man wanted by Baxter County Authorities for manufacturing methamphetamine was found in Grant County late Tuesday afternoon.

49 year old James Alan Collins of Cotter, Arkansas was arrested around 4:45 p.m. Tuesday.

Baxter County Deputies had executed a search warrant on Collin's property on October 15, 2009. Deputies found numerous chemicals used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. Collins fled the scene prior to the search warrant and had been sought by authorities since.

Tuesday morning, the Baxter County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous tip from someone who stated they found Collins on the Baxter County Sheriff's Office website. Collins was using an assumed name and was staying with an acquaintance in Grant County. The caller provided details to Baxter County to the identity and location of Collins.

Acting on the tip, Baxter County Authorities contacted the Grant County Sheriff's Office where they later took Collins into custody without incident.

Collins will be extradited back to Baxter County to face Felony charges of manufacturing methamphetamine, a class Y felony.

His bond is set at $50,000.
