Jonesboro, AR - An Ultimate Frisbee Jamboree will be held on Saturday, September 18th at 11 a.m. at the ASU Intramural Fields. Participants will play pick-up games, teach the basics to others, get lots of exercise, and have loads of fun. A free hot-dog lunch will be provided.
Registration is now also open for the 2010 Co-ed Ultimate Frisbee League. League play will be held at Miles Field in Jonesboro beginning on September 28th and running until November 9th. The League will emphasize beginning players and players that are altogether new to the sport. However, players of all skill levels from novice to very experienced are encouraged to participate. All participants must be 16 years of age or older. All participants will also receive a team t-shirt that is included in the $15.00 registration fee. Co-ed pick-up games are also being played every Tuesday, Thursday and Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. at the ASU Intramural Fields.
Ultimate Frisbee is a fast action team sport involving lots of running, passing, catching, and team work. Ultimate stresses sportsmanship and fair play. Competitive play is encouraged, but never at the expense of respect between players, adherence to the rules, and basic joy of the sport.
