FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas football coach Bobby Petrino says his team has improved its performance since the opening of pre-season workouts earlier this month.
"We are more physical, there is no doubt about it," Petrino said after Wednesday's two practice sessions - one in the morning that featured the whole team, then another in the afternoon involving only freshmen.
Petrino said the mental performance of the team's corps of running backs had also made progress. He said he had not decided on a starter, but all have taken their turns at shining.
