HARRISBURG, AR (KAIT) – The mayor of Harrisburg is in jail this morning according to Poinsett County Sheriff Larry Mills.
Sheriff Mills says one of his deputies arrested Harrisburg's Mayor Donnie "Buzzy" Faulkner on Friday morning around 1 a.m. Police say he says he was driving a city car when he was arrested.
Faulkner is being charged with a DWI, careless or prohibited driving, and no seat belt.
Mills said this is not Faulkner's first DWI. Faulkner also was sentenced to 10 days in jail and fined $330 dollars in 2008 after pleading no contest to three counts of driving on a suspended license.
Faulkner is currently being held in the Poinsett County Detention Center without bond.
