ST. LOUIS (AP) - Former Missouri wide receiver Danario Alexander, who wasn't drafted after injuring his knee prior to the Senior Bowl, has signed a free agent contract with the St. Louis Rams.
The 6-5, 221-pound Alexander was All-Big 12 his senior season with 113 receptions for 1,781 yards and 14 touchdowns, leading Football Bowl Subdivision players in yards receiving. He worked out with the team earlier in training camp.
The Rams are short at the position for the second straight year under coach Steve Spagnuolo. The team released wide receiver Brooks Foster.
