PARAGOULD, AR (KAIT) - Two organizations joined forces Monday to help people find work.
The Paragould Chamber of Commerce and the Arkansas Workforce Center sponsored a job fair at the Paragould Community Center.
A number of booths were set up at the community center to look for potential employees.
A Mobile Workforce Center unit was also at the job fair. The unit had computers and Internet access to assist people with resume preparation and job searches.
Chamber of Commerce Representative Sue McGowan says events like this are good opportunities for everyone. "We feel like if we can have this number of employers in one location, then someone looking for a job can come to one location and be able to find something that's suitable for them," says McGowan.
McGowan says there were over 350 jobs available at Monday's job fair.
