Missouri hosts women's football clinic

COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - Women who watch in wonder as their husbands and boyfriends sit rapt in front of the TV on fall weekends can now find out what all the fuss is about.

The Missouri football program is holding a women's football clinic on Saturday in the LeMone Tiger Lounge at Memorial Stadium. The X's & Clinic is hosted by Vicki Pinkel, wife of Missouri head coach Gary Pinkel, and Rockie Alden, wife of athletic director Mike Alden.

Participants will have brunch while watching a Missouri football practice, then hear from Gary Pinkel and the football team captains. Tours of the Mizzou Athletic Training Complex will follow the clinic, which has beginner and advanced sessions.

Registration is $35 and begins at 10 a.m. Saturday, with the program starting 90 minutes later.
