SHARP COUNTY, AR (KAIT) – With the help of the 3rd Judicial Drug Task Force and the Highland Police Department, the Sharp County Sheriff's Department served two search warrants on Aug 19.
According to a news press release on the Sharp County Sheriff's website, the first warrant was served to Clarence Wilson, Jr., 53, of Williford; during the search, officers found items used for making meth. Wilson was out on bond for previous charges on possession of meth; the drug was found following a previous warrant on his home.
The press release also says the second warrant was served to David W. Smalley, 45, of Highland. Officers found items used to make meth as well as the actual drug. Smalley come home during the search warrant execution and told investigators that the items found were his.
Wilson is currently being held in the Sharp County Jail awaiting the file of formal charges for possession and intent to manufacture. Smalley is also being held in the Sharp County Jail awaiting charges for manufacturing.
A Haz-Mat team was called in to dispose of the meth lab at Smalley's home.
