Arkansas coordinator praises team's enthusiasm

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrick McGee says he likes what he saw from the football team a day after fall semester classes began at the school.

McGee said Tuesday players were eager to return to practice and he thought they showed energy and enthusiasm on the field.

The Razorback offense led the Southeastern Conference in scoring offense (36.0) and passing offense (295.5). McGee says if the team is to win the SEC championship, it has to be able to run the football.

The Razorbacks return to practice Wednesday at 4 p.m.

Arkansas kicks off the 2010 season at home against Tennessee Tech on Sept. 4.
