RIPLEY COUNTY, MO (KAIT) – A Dexter woman died Wednesday afternoon in a motorcycle crash.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, 57-year-old Debra J. Algood was a passenger on a motorcycle driven by 53-year-old James Algood. The crash happened just after 2:30 p.m. on Highway 21 one mile south of Highway NN in Ripley County.
Investigators say a tire on the couple's 1983 Honda motorcycle blew out. The bike skidded into a ditch, throwing the couple off.
James Algood was taken to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. Debra Algood was pronounced dead at the scene by Ripley County Coroner Mike Jackson.
