Fire destroys Region 8 business

TRUMANN, AR (KAIT) – According to Truman police dispatch, small flames were still expelling from the old Barton's Lumber Company building hours after it went up in flames Thursday.

According to the Trumann Fire Department, the building did have an operational custom cabinet business inside.

During the fire, the building collapsed in on itself causing problems for firefighters; the debris was blocking access to the flames.

The Trumann Fire Department also says sixteen employees were working at the time the fire began, and all were able to safely leave the building.
