JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - The Presidential Search Advisory Committee continues it's search for a new president.
The committee met this morning to discuss the results of the recent "listening sessions" they held.
Chair of the committee, Florine Milligan, says they've worked hard to include everyone.
"We've been to our campuses in Bebee, Little Rock, Newport, Mountain Home, Jonesboro. And in each one of those cities we've also dealt with the community. So, it's been a comprehensive meeting with all the personnel and constituents for the new president."
The committee first decided to form these listening session in order to give all of ASU's faculty, staff and students the chance to give their opinion as to what ASU's next president should be like.
"I would say the top things we found at each campus was they're looking for a visionary person. Knowing how to do strategic planning. A person with integrity, honesty. A person whose familiar and have diverse experience in academics, business management. Those kinds of qualities."
Milligan says the committee is moving forward quickly and carefully.
"We're gonna take a look at those listening sessions, condense them and then come up with the matrix for doing our interview for those candidates."
They hope to have a new president in place by the end of the year.
