Autopsy results in on 2 West Memphis Police officers killed in May shootout

JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) - Two Region 8 police officers were shot over 20 times and killed during as routine traffic stop in May according to autopsy results.

According to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, West Memphis Police Officer Brandon Paudert was shot 14 times, including 3 times to the head, and officer Bill Evans was shot 8 times after a gun fight with Jerry and Joe Kane in May.

The suspects, Jerry and 16-year-old son Joe Kane died of multiple gun shot wounds in a shootout at the West Memphis Wal-Mart.
