Four teenagers accused of burglary and damaging Region 8 churches

DEXTER, MO (KAIT) – Four teenagers have been arrested and charged with breaking in and damaging two Region 8 churches.

According to the Dexter Police Department, two 15-year-olds, a 16-year-old, and a 17-year-old are accused of breaking in and damaging 2 churches in Dexter, Missouri.

The 17-year-old, Jeremy Schmidt is charged with a Class C felony of burglary in the second degree and a Class A misdemeanor of stealing. Schmidt's bond was set at $15,000.

The four teenagers are also suspects in several other property damages reports and burglaries around the area.

The three juveniles were also placed in custody, no word yet on what charges they're facing.
