MOUNTAIN HOME , AR (KAIT) – According to the Baxter County Sheriff's Office, three Mountain Home residents are in custody for obstructing an investigation.
A recent press release says deputies were called to 71 Lobo Lane early Sunday morning in response to a 911 call where a man said he'd been awoken by two other men standing over his bed. When the man met with deputies, he told them he had left his girlfriend, Sarah B. McDonald, 23, of Mountain Home inside the house when he ran for safety.
The release goes on to say that deputies went back to the home to check on the welfare of McDonald. There they found her, Christopher Lee Mann, 26, of Mountain Home and James C. Lutz, 29, of Gassville who all denied knowing the caller or having ever met him.
According to the release, the man told Baxter County Sheriff's Deputies he could prove his relationship with McDonald and residence if they would only look inside the home for his personal belongings and wallet. When deputies confronted the other three about this claim, they admitted to lying about knowing the man.
McDonald, Lutz and Mann were all three arrested for obstruction of governmental operations. They are being held in the Baxter County Detention Center in lieu of $240.00 bond each and are scheduled to appear in district court on Sept 16. Additional charges could be filed later once investigators look at the incident.
