FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. (AP) - Arkansas' football team has gotten some experience handling a wet ball - and playing on wet artificial turf.
Offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach Garrick McGee said Tuesday's practice in the rain was good for the team.
McGee said there was enough rain to be a distraction and get the footballs wet, and players were able to get the feel of moving on wet turf.
After a 44-3 victory over Tennessee Tech on Saturday, Arkansas travels to Little Rock next Saturday to meet Louisiana-Monroe in War Memorial Stadium.
