Jonesboro (ASU) - The Arkansas State Red Wolves women's basketball team will begin the ninth-annual "Boyer Mile" preseason conditioning program Thursday, Sept. 9 at 6:00 p.m. at the ASU running track located adjacent to the Convocation Center and Tomlinson Stadium-Kell Field.
The "Boyer Mile" will run for four consecutive Thursdays (weather permitting), wrapping up with a post-run party Sept. 30.
Any ASU fan who is not a high school athlete (grades 9-12) is invited to join head coach Brian Boyer and the Red Wolves women's basketball team to participate in the four-week training program. While the Red Wolves will be running a timed mile, anyone wishing to run or walk may join the team, making the conditioning program more enjoyable for the athletes while at the same time promoting fitness in the community.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt and be treated to a post-mile party Sept. 30. There is no cost to participate in the program.
