JONSBORO, AR (KAIT)- On Wednesday the St. Bernards Regional Medical Center offered free prostate cancer screenings during their first annual Men's Health Fair.
The event was held at the St. Bernards Auditorium where attendees learned about the risk, prevention and treatment of the deadly disease as well as other men's health topics.
Prostate cancer affects 1 in 6 men in the U.S. However, if detected early the disease can beaten. Doctors recommend that men 50 to 75 should have an annual prostate check.
It is estimated that around 300 men attended the event.
