ASU's Kristina Aubert Wins SBC track award

New Orleans (SBC) - Arkansas State's Kristina Aubert has been named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Cross Country Runner of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Tuesday.

Following her second race as a collegian, freshman Kristina Aubert remains unbeaten, winning the UALR Invitational Sept. 10 with a time of 18:15:94.  The Crystal Lake, Ill., native took control of the race after about one mile and never looked back, winning the 5K run over a minute ahead of the next-closest runner. Aubert opened the 2010 season and her college career winning the Arkansas Tech Twilight on Sept. 3.

The ASU Cross Country teams are off until September 25th, when they compete in the Memphis Twilight Classic.
