Pemiscot Co. Sheriff's Dept. looks for man considered armed, dangerous

PEMISCOT COUNTY, MO (KFVS) - The Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department is looking for a man considered armed and dangerous after a chase Monday night in Hayti.

Randall Lee Johnson, 26, from East Prairie is described as a white male, 5 feet 9 inches, 170 pounds with several tattoos.

Hayti police stopped traffic Monday night and arrested two people after a short pursuit.  Johnson jumped out of the car and ran.

Pemiscot County Sheriff Tommy Greenwell says the Delta C-7 school in Deering was on lockdown Tuesday because authorities thought Johnson was near the area.  The school is no longer on lockdown.

Johnson is wanted out of Mississippi County on auto theft charges.  He is also wanted out of Florida on assault and battery.

Police searched throughout the day using a helicopter from Mississippi County, Arkansas, Missouri Highway Patrol & Pemiscot County Sheriff's Department.
