JONESBORO, AR (KAIT)- Both Jonesboro High School and Greene County Tech officially became part of a special academic program.
On Wednesday each school had representatives from the Arkansas Advanced Initiative for Math and Science on hand to recognize the achievement. The goal of the program is to encourage high school students to participate in their school's Advance Placement programs.
And as a reward for scoring a three, four, or five on however many Advance Placement tests they take, students will receive one hundred dollars. AAIMS President Tommie Sue Anthony says that this Advance Placement initiative is both economic and as well as educational.
Including JHS and GCT, 30 schools in Arkansas are currently a part of this program.
