JONESBORO, AR (KAIT) – Another Region 8 school has flashing caution lights in front of its campus thanks to a safe route to school grant from the state of Arkansas.
The flashing lights were suppose to be in school zones before school started, but the company All Service Electric worked on larger jobs before getting to the installation. By contract they had up to 270 days to have the lights installed.
A total of 29 lights are to be installed at 15 different schools.
The lights help warn drivers they are entering a school zone and will flash when students are arriving and leaving campus.
