Silver Alert canceled after Region 8 man is found

SMITHVILLE, AR (KAIT)- The Sharp County Sheriff's Office says 80-year-old Harold Vernon Horkey was found in Chicago.

According to Detective Ken Guidry, Horkey's daughter, Lola Bush, was contacted by a hospital in Chicago on Sept 19. The hospital said Horkey had been in an accident. His condition is unknown at this time.

Sunday, the Sharp County Sheriff's Department was asking residents to keep an eye out for a missing 80 year-old man with Dementia.

Horkey was last seen Thursday in the town of Smithville and was thought to be driving a 1990 light green pick-up truck.
