CAPE GIRARDEAU, MO (AP) - Delta Airlines officials continue to look into what caused smoke in the cabin of a plane, forcing it to make an emergency landing in Cape Girardeau, Mo.

The Southeast Missourian reports the MD-80 flight was forced to land Sunday afternoon because of smoke in the cabin and cockpit. The plane was carrying 132 passengers from Atlanta to St. Louis. No one was hurt.

Passenger Sean McMahn of Atlanta told the newspaper the smell of smoke was strong right before landing.

Buses took passengers to St. Louis.

Mechanics for Delta were scheduled to arrive Monday.
