In a unique turn of events, Gene Williams is one of the guest stars on upcoming "Gene Williams Country Television Show" broadcasts along with 10-year-old Hunter Hayes, the Cajun commotion taking Branson by storm.
"Gene gives the spotlight to so many, it is time that our viewers get a chance to know more about Gene Williams," said Williams’ co-host Katie Lynn, who turned the table and sat in the host’s chair and interviewed her co-host for a future broadcast of the only weekly television show taped in Branson about Branson.
"I’ve often said that working with Gene is like working with a Who’s Who in Country Music. Gene, who is an inductee to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame, has worked with greats like the Johnny Cash, Statler Brothers, Carl Perkins, the Carter Family, Charlie Walker, Del Reeves, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, Bill Carlisle, Johnny Carver, Tommy Cash, Claude King, Ronnie Session and Little Jimmy Dickens. The list goes on and on," said Lynn.
"Also guest starring during a recent live taping was Hunter Hayes who can claim almost 10 years of professional appearances at music festivals, on television and in movies. He has returned to Branson for a limited engagement at the Mickey Gilley Theatre," said Williams.
Hayes can be seen on the Lucas Oil Products sponsored "Gene Williams Country Television Show" being broadcast Sunday, June 15 at 10:30 p.m. in Springfield/Branson/Harrison markets; Saturday, June 21 at 6 a.m. in Little Rock/Fort Smith and Shreveport, La. on Channel 4 KARK/NBC and Dallas, Jonesboro, Ark., and Memphis, Tenn. on Channel 8 KAIT/ABC at 5 p.m.; and Saturday, June 28 on WB 58 Nashville at midnight.

Gene is credited with blazing trails for country music television and is an inductee to the Memphis Music Hall of Fame.
