Man who shot aunt and uncle sentenced to 70 years

WELDON, AR (KAIT) – The manwho alleged self defense in the shooting death of his aunt and uncle has been sentencedto 70 years in jail.

According to the ThirdJudicial District Prosecuting Attorney Henry Boyce's Office, Gary Paul Henleywas sentenced to 70 years in prison Tuesday for killing his aunt and uncle in2010.

On September 21, 2010police say they found Stephen Bridgman and his wife Ina dead on the bathroomfloor from gunshot wounds to the head and torso.

Henley told police he wasdefending himself after being stabbed by Stephen and Ina Bridgman.

Police say a disagreement overthe house and property led to fatal altercation.

Henley, will be 90-years-oldbefore he is eligible for parole.
