COLUMBIA, Mo. (AP) - There is no chance Missouri will overlook this week's opponent. Not after an extremely close shave in the last game against a heavy underdog.
The Tigers are almost a three-touchdown favorite to beat Miami of Ohio on Saturday and finish the pre-Big 12 schedule 4-0. Then again, they were more than a two-touchdown pick to handle San Diego State last week, and needed a 58-yard pass play from Blaine Gabbert to T.J. Moe in the final minute for a 27-24 victory.
Missouri has won 20 straight non-conference games in the regular season heading into its first-ever meeting against the RedHawks, a run that dates to 2005.
Miami of Ohio is 2-1 and is coming off a 31-10 victory over Colorado State.
