POCAHONTAS, AR (KAIT) - Folks in Pocahontas hit Highway 67 Monday morning for the unveiling of a sign for the "Rock and Roll Highway". This is the second sign for the highway that has been unveiled in the past year.
Highway 67 is known for having roots in rock. Representatives from Randolph County and the Arkansas State Highway and Transportation Department gathered to unveil the new sign in Pocahontas. There is a lot of history along this highway from performances to travel time logged during the 1950's from performers like Elvis Presley.

"All the way from the south to the north on this section of the road there is a great deal of support for the history and the entertainment value of this highway," said Flowers.
The Rock and Roll Highway runs from Jackson County all the way to the Missouri state line.
This weekend is the second annual Rock and Roll Festival will kick off in Pocahontas. Events start Friday and run through Saturday.
